Radiology & Imaging

Full-spectrum imaging: digital X-ray, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound, mammography and fluoroscopy.

1 About This Service

Our Radiology Department offers the complete spectrum of diagnostic imaging services, from basic digital radiography to advanced MRI and CT angiography. All imaging is interpreted by qualified radiologists with specialised training in musculoskeletal, neuroradiology, cardiac, and abdominal imaging.

Reports are generated using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) and are accessible to treating clinicians instantly. Urgent reports for emergency and ICU patients are issued within 30 minutes.

All radiation-based procedures follow ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) dose principles. Our equipment is calibrated and safety-checked quarterly.

2 How It Works

1

Request & Registration

Bring your doctor's request to the radiology reception. For CT/MRI, pre-booking is recommended to reduce waiting time.

5 min
2

Preparation

Some procedures require specific preparation — fasting (abdomen MRI), hydration, contrast allergy check (CT), or removing metal objects.

3

Imaging Procedure

The radiographer positions you correctly and performs the scan. Procedures range from 5 minutes (X-ray) to 45 minutes (MRI).

4 Frequently Asked Questions

Remove all metal objects, jewellery, and hearing aids. Inform us if you have a pacemaker, cochlear implant, or metal implants. Abdomen MRI requires 4-hour fasting.
Not all CT scans require contrast. Your doctor or radiologist will specify if contrast (iodine-based dye) is needed. A creatinine test may be required before contrast injection.
Radiation-based imaging is avoided in pregnancy when possible. MRI (without contrast in first trimester) is preferred. Urgent X-rays are performed with abdominal shielding if clinically necessary.
Download the patient portal app or log in online. Your radiology report and images are uploaded automatically once validated by the radiologist.
